Mr. Handyman’s Top 3 Camp Recipes
There’s nothing like getting back to nature than a good ol’ fashioned camping trip with the family. And the best memories always seem to be made around the campfire. Whether you’re “roughing it” with a sleeping bag on the ground or you have a luxury RV, a night making yummy food and snacks at the campfire is sure to be a good one. Here are a few hearty recipes we here at Mr. Handyman love to make while in the great outdoors:
Pizza Pie
What you’ll need: cast iron pie cooker, cooking spray, bread, pizza sauce, shredded mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni.
What you do: spray bread and cast iron pie cooker with cooking spray; place bread in pie cooker; add desired amounts of sauce, cheese, and pepperoni; close pie cooker and place in campfire coals for 3-5 minutes. Indulge carefully. Contents will be delicious and hot hot hot.
Chocolate-Chip Nutella Smores
What you’ll need: chocolate-chip cookies, marshmallows, Nutella, long sturdy stick
What you do: slather desired amount of Nutella on two chocolate-chip cookies, set aside; carefully poke marshmallows a few inches into your stick; place stick near coals (but not too close to flames) and cook for 1-2 minutes or until golden brown; place golden brown marshmallows between Nutella chocolate-chip cookies. You’re welcome.
Gus’s Tacos in a Bag
What you’ll need: Doritos, small Doritos bags, taco-seasoned hamburger, lettuce, shredded cheese, diced onions, diced tomatoes, salsa or taco sauce, plastic forks or spoons.
