Football Field Table Topper enhances your Super Bowl Party Theme
Make your buffet table look festive at your football party by turning it into a field!
Difficulty Rating (on a scale of 1 – 3 hammers):
Time: about 1 ½ hours once you have the materials and tools
Supplies:
- 3/16” thick Eucaboard or thin plywood
- One roll of green outdoor carpet
- One roll of duct tape, any color
- One roll of ½” artist white tape
Instructions for Building Football Field Buffet Table Topper
- Cut the Eucaboard to a size about ½” inch larger on all sides than your table.
- Lay out the green carpet on the floor, green side down.
- Lay the Eucaboard on top of the green carpet and trim with scissors all around, leaving 3-4” extra. Save remaining leftover green carpet for other projects.
- Tightly fold the carpet over the back of the board and attach with duct tape. Trim the corners slightly to avoid bulk.
- Once all sides are taped, attach one more layer of tape, taping the first tape layer to the board with more tape.
- Flip the board over and using artist tape (available at craft stores) and a yard stick, attach the tape in a field pattern. This is the most difficult part of this project. It’s helpful to have two people working on this part.
- Protect your table from scuffs with pad and/or old tablecloth. Place finished board on your table and lay out your buffet!
